Something I've noticed...
I'm a huge tech geek. I like using new technologies that come out. If it will make my job easier as a programmer then I'm all for it. People are hesitant to learn new technologies because there's always a learning curve even though the end result could be that you are more productive in the end. Some people hate learning new things and are hesitant to try it. Not me... I'm one to actually look at the nuts and bolts of anything and try to figure out the inner workings. Sometimes when I can't actually see the inner workings I try to deduce what the actual design is "behind the scenes". I'm not entirely sure why I feel the need to know this in some cases (such as an API library) but for some reason it intrigues me. I guess design patterns in general intrigue me. I'm working on trying to find a good book on design patterns and hopefully educate myself more in good program design and be able to recognize design patterns when I use certain software technologies. Anyway, that's my quick blurb for today.

Process is King!
Or so that's the mentality here at my workplace for some people. Sometimes the things you have to put up with here are quite asinine that I have to refrain myself from speaking my mind or else some people may get their feelings hurt. Then I read this article from the Daily WTF site. Turns out that things could be worse and things around here are actually not that bad. Anyway, enjoy the article and hopefully those of you who are familiar with The Process of your workplace can definitely relate to this article.
